• Would you like to be in a stronger position to influence decisions made about your community?
• Have you considered producing a Parish Plan but decided that you are too small, or too big?
• Maybe you feel that Parish Planning is a waste of time or that it will cost too much money?
• Perhaps your parish has produced a Parish Plan and is trying to implement it?
•
• Would you like to find out more about producing a Parish Plan and how to get started?
• Do you have Parish Planning experience to share with others or are you struggling to get things done?
If the answer is yes to any of these questions we would love to see you in Teynham on the 12th of October. We at Action with Communities in Rural Kent are trying to strengthen your voice as the rural community representatives in Swale. We are doing this by:
• holding this event to bring together rural community representatives and local agencies and service providers
• encouraging more parishes to produce a plan, thereby strengthening that voice
• encouraging planners and service providers to feed your Parish Plan findings into their priorities
• encouraging budget holders and funding bodies to consider Parish Plans as evidence of need to inform their funding decisions.
We also have some good news to share...
• funding is available for parishes in Swale to produce Parish Plans
• funding is also available, specifically for projects emerging from Parish Plans
• service providers such as KCC, Swale Borough Council and the Police are keen to support Parish Plans.
Have you considered how your parish will fare in the future without a Parish Plan?
We look forward to seeing you!
