If you are thinking about or have already changed and expanded your business to make more of your farm assets, this workshop is for you! Attend if you would like to have the tools to plan diversification and be able to start to develop your own Whole Farm Development Plan.
In addition you will write your own action plan to develop your opportunities, appreciate the importance of marketing your products, gain confidence in how to assess your developing business and take steps to improve your products.
This unique workshop is designed to introduce all those that are thinking about or have already embarked upon widening their farm businesses to:
• Take time away from the farm for a refreshed look at your business and be challenged to come up with new ideas
• Use a step by step method of assessing your farm assets and opportunities, by use of the Farm Diversification Toolkit
At the end of the morning you will:
• Be conversant with the Kent Downs Rural Advice Farm Diversification Toolkit
• Be able to develop your own Whole Farm Development Plan from templates you can begin to complete at the workshop
• Have your own written action plan to start to realise your opportunities
• Appreciate the importance of marketing your products – leave with 10 top tips for marketing on a low budget
• Gain confidence in how to assess your developing business and take the next steps to improve your profits
